You see it used on television often, someone wants to emphasize a point by drawing on the screen. It's really impressive and helps get your point across.
One of the easiest ways of doing that is with Camtasia. But what if you don't want to use that software to draw on your screen? Well, there is an inextensive way (it used to be free... but the Internet is changing) to do it.
The program is called WinPointer 2 and lets you make marks right on your computer screen. And you can instantly erase them by hitting the Esc button on your keyboard.

This is really a fun utility that you can use when you're recording your computer's monitor using your video camera. And it's easy to use. I drew those lines using my mouse.
