Many of us don't realize what holds us back from success. This last weekend I became very aware just what it is that stops us.

You see, most of us think we need more information to be ready to start our information publishing. But that's not true!

For the last four days I've sat through presentations by some of the biggest names on the Internet. People like Bob Allen, Terry Dean, Frank Gleeck, Marlon Sanders, Ted Thomas, Yanik Silver, Carl Galletti, and many others.

They all had material to sell to those in the audience.

The same type of material that we already have in abundance.

But what's stopping us is not what you can find in a book, audiotape, video, or any of those pricey products being offered.

What stops all of us is ourselves. We get in our own way to success. And no matter what we read, listen to, or watch, we're still in our own way. We create our own barriers to success.

What I've found is that I need someone to actually take me by the hand and show me what to do next. And I need to let the universe know what it is that I want.

Plus I need to talk to those who are already doing it. And talk to members of the audience to find out what they are doing.

I can tell you that when I went to the Internet Marketing SuperConference I had set some important goals for my business as a results of attending. One was to determine the future name for my web business. While I think ProfitProducer.com is a great name, not all the email filters do. They focus on the word "profit" and junk my email.

So I've been looking for the right name for my website. Just before attending the conference I'd chosen http://www.flashpublishers.com and bought a professional logo for our site. But I still wasn't too sure.

Within five minutes of sitting down in the conference I was confident in my direction. The fellow sitting next to me had a website name that ended in "wiz". So over the next few weeks you'll be seeing changes in our website.

During the weekend I also experienced other breakthroughs that were very valuable to my business.

By the end of the conference I'd opted to buy only two items. One was a software CD called "Cyber Security Mulitmedia CD" by David DaVinci that will keep our three computers safe on the Internet.

The other is I joined a mentor program with Kirt Christensen, a very successful web businessman who guaranteed success or my money back. And you better believe I'll be holding him to that!

I know many of you consider going to one of these Internet Marketing conferences a waste of time. And often they are.

But if you set a goal for what you want to achieve from these events you'll find that you'll get a lot more out of them. And remember, while often the "experts" don't revile everything they know during their presentation, get them one-on-one and they do.

All you have to do is ask!

In fact, often when you are one-on-one you have a problem stopping them. They all love to tell you how clever they are and will take you through all the steps you need to understand how to be a success on the Internet too.

One of the most important things you can learn is that those who are successful on the Internet don't look any different than any of us. They are just ordinary people who have found a way of making money. And they are doing it right now.
